Round 5 Match Summaries

B Grade:

East Sunbury just missing out again in anther tight one with Macedon reaching their score in the final overs of play. Liam Sherlock top scored with 51 while Mark Hourigan finished off the innings with an unbeaten 39. Bowling was tight and runs were hard to come by with Liam Sherlock taking 2/10. Plenty of positives to come out of the game with a growing side finding its feet in the B grade comp.

D Grade:

East Sunbury continues their dominance on the D grade comp with a 10 wicket win over Bacchus Marsh, with Nathan Dent taking 2/10. It was just as dominance with the bat with Cody Mc Dorman making 49* and Matt Jackson 103*. This was Matt’s first 100 and great to see a young playing forming to be a top line player with in our club.

F Grade:

East Sunbury struggled with the bat on a ground which provided no value for shots and posted a total of 98 with Nathan Penticoss making 25. Hard to defend a small total but East was beaten by 10 wickets. Looking to bounce back this week

H Grade:

East Sunbury got their first win of the season beating Bacchus Marsh, posting 233 with Keith Osborne making 112 and Jay Brockman 79* with a partnership of 203 setting up the game. A good bowling performance reduced Bacchus Marsh to 90 with John Doyle taking 3/5 Rob McLellan 2/3 and Jeff Dent 2/11. A good all round team performance.
