East Sunbury Pay Respect to Phillip Hughes

East Sunbury Cricket club has paid a tribute to Phillip Hughes who recently lost his life on the cricket field. It is a tradition that once you play you first senior game at the club you are given your cap number. In the spirit of cricket and the game East Sunbury Cricket club has retired cap 150 in memory of Phillip.

We hope this serves a reminder how short life can be and to enjoy the game of cricket as Phillip did. This has touched the cricket community and hope Phillip’s legacy will live on at the East Sunbury Cricket Club.

There will be a frame with the cap #150 in the East Sunbury club rooms as a reminder of Phillip’s legacy.
