This saw East defect a top four side in St Anthony’s with an outstanding bowling performance to limit St Anthony’s to 10/135 with a few of the old stayers in Chris Watson and Mark Bitmead both taking four wickets, with a shaky start East recover well to finish 6/139 with Jessy Carroll 49 and Chris Watson 48*, to give East the points.
The winning streak continues for D grade staying undefeated with a good win over St Anthony’s. East’s battered first with Burke Davidson 64 and Corey Long 68 both in the runs to post a total of 206. St Anthony’s bowled out for 157 with Tim Wollington taking four wickets.
East’s lost the toss and sent in to bat. We setting a total of 242 with Mark Wilkins getting 112 and Keith Osborne 47*. This was capped off with, outstanding bowling with Lachlan Wilkins taking 5 wickets and Liam Watson with 2 wickets. East’s bowled out Ashfield for 62 in a comprehensive victory to keep East’s well in the four.
East Sunbury played the top of the table side in Lancefield and posted a score of 202 with Billy Welsford top scoring with 56. Lancefield made the runs but were pushed with Sam Warwick, Dan Osborne and Robbie McLellan all getting a wicket.
